CONTAINER SHIP: Largest container ship to visit Brixham

A rare caller at Brixham on 20 October 2010 was the container ship CMA CGM Laperouse. Built in 2010, the 157,092dwt Explorer class vessel was on on the joint FAL 5/Maersk AE8 Service, which runs between Ningbo to Northern Europe, when she had to land a Zeebrugge pilot as bad weather had stopped him disembarking at the Belgian port.
