OFFSHORE SUPPORT: Solstad gains new contracts

Norwegian-based offshore operator, Solstad Offshore, has signed several new contracts and contract extensions for their fleet of oil rig service vessels. Global Industries has exercised a one-year option on an existing contract for the 2006-built Normand Commander, 4,700dwt, for operations in the Gulf of Mexico. Diavaz in Mexico has signed a six-month firm contract for Normand Fortress (2006), while Solstad has received Letters of intent for the 1999-built Normand Progress for a two-year extension of contract with Technip for operations in Brazil and for the 2002-built Normand Flower.
