CUNARD: QM2 makes a 200th crossing

Queen Mary 2 made an historic 200th Atlantic crossing, sailing from New York on 6 July to Southampton, where she arrived on 13 July. To mark the historic voyage, the ship performed a sail-by of the iconic statue atop Liberty Island, and a celebratory Gala Dinner was held on 11 July. Since she entered service in 2004, and in the course of those 200 Atlantic crossings, Cunard estimates that half a million passengers have consumed 8.4 million cups of tea, and, in total, over 600,000 nautical miles have been covered. The ship has also undertaken annual World Cruises and sailings to the Canaries, the Norwegian Fjords, the Low Countries and Britain.
