PLATFORM SUPPLY: Fully-equipped for work

Singapore-based offshore energy services provider Jaya Holdings Ltd delivered its second new Multi-Purpose Platform Supply Vessel Jaya Vigilant in October. She left Jaya’s shipyard in Batam to immediately go on hire in East Africa. The vessel loaded a Remotely Operated Vessel spread and crossed the Indian Ocean to load subsea equipment for the client.

Jaya Vigilant is one a new breed of increasingly sophisticated vessels built at Jaya’s Batam shipyard. She has a 50-ton subsea crane with active heave compensation for use in depths of up to 3,000m. She offers very accurate station keeping for subsea work, and was delivered fully equipped with a mezzanine deck for the ROV, cables, a survey area on the bridge and satellite broadband internet connection. Jaya Vigilant, offering accommodation for 60 people, has 1,000m2 of clear deck space, a fast rescue craft, FiFi One and full under-deck cargo capacities for mud, bulk, brine and marine gas oil.
