IHC completes two dredgers for India

Holland’s Royal IHC shipyard has delivered the 8,000m3 capacity trailing suction hopper dredger Shanti Sagar 17 to the Adani Group as the first of two 108m by 24m dredgers being built for the Indian company with the second, Shanti Sagar 18 to be handed over shortly.

Each of the Dutch-built dredgers has a total installed power of 8760 kW and both are equipped with IHC’s Trailspeed Controller and Eco Pump Controller to ensure a constant speed while dredging.
