Largest dredger built to IRClass delivered in Europe

The largest dredger built under IRClass rules, Shanti Sagar 17, of 8000 cubic metres capacity, was delivered to the owners ,Adani ports and SEZ Ltd, by IHC Holland BV of the Netherlands, at the end of November 2017.

The vessel is a trailing suction hopper dredger (TSHD) constructed under the special survey of Indian Register of Shipping (IRClass) and all the Statutory Certificates are issued by IRClass on behalf of St Vincent & Grenadines Flag.

This dredger is built in compliance to the applicable IMO requirements including SOLAS, MARPOL, Loadline and MLC 2006. She is the first in the series of two dredgers; the second vessel is at an advanced stage of construction and is expected to be delivered in early December 207.
