Olympic’s second CSOV Olympic Notos passes trials

Olympic’s second Construction Service Operation Vessel (CSOV), Olympic Notos, has successfully completed its sea trial, marking a significant step towards its full operational status.

Following in the footsteps of sister vessel Olympic Boreas, Olympic Notos performed [erfectly during the trial. Helge Torvik, the project manager for Ulstein Verft, praised the trial’s success, attributing it to the efforts of all involved parties, including Ulstein, Olympic and subcontractors.

The sea trial went off successfully, with the vessel meeting all performance expectations. Kim Kopperstad, the vessel’s future captain, expressed optimism about her capabilities, stating that Olympic Notos exceeded expectations and will bring major benefits for walk-to-work and offshore energy projects.

Olympic’s representatives were also pleased with the trial and the cooperation throughout the project, and the vessel’s advanced technology and efficiency will further help with Olympic’s commitment to sustainable, high-performing maritime operations.
