What next for small ferry Westward Ho?

The small ferry Westward Ho has been high and dry at Weston-super-Mare in Somerset for a number of years.

Built in 1986 by MacCrindle Shipbuilding of Ardrossan as Cromarty Rose for the Cromarty to Nigg service in the north of Scotland, the ferry, with capacity for 50 passengers and two vehicles, moved south in 2010 to provide a service to the Bristol Channel islands of Flat Holm and Steep Holm, being renamed Westward Ho.

For the past eight years she has been out of service and is reportedly up for sale, but faces an uncertain future.
