New owner for Seabourn Pride

Until last year Windstar Cruises operated a fleet of three wind-assisted motor ships, but with the phased acquisition of the Seabourn yacht trio, the company has now not only expanded but also branched out into the operation of more conventional ships. Seabourn Pride was the first to be handed over, in April 2014, becoming Star Pride after a refit by Trimline.

More recently Southampton-based Trimline has completed the refits of the other two ships, having previously been involved in the refits of the three sail-assisted ships.

Star Breeze and Star Legend, formerly Seabourn Spirit and Seabourn Legend, were refitted at San Giorgio del Porto in Genoa, where the ships had a complete makeover, with new furniture, lighting and fabrics.

The pool immediately forward of the Veranda Restaurant has been removed on both ships (although not yet on Star Pride) to make way for additional semi-outdoor seating. By night the Veranda is transformed into Candles, which offers both inside and al fresco seating for dinner.
