New Incat ferries for Sydney

Incat has been awarded a contract to build six new ferries to operate on Sydney’s Inner Harbour.

The new vessel exterior is a traditional design looking similar to existing Sydney First Fleet vessels, but the new 35m, 400-passenger boats will have more spacious interiors offering comfortable inside seating, outdoor viewing areas, a large walk around deck and and charging stations for electronic devices.

Construction of the first ferry starts early in 2016 and all six will be delivered progressively from late 2016 and throughout 2017. Incat are also building four fast ferries, two 24 metre and two 33 metre boats for Sydney company Manly Fast Ferry.
