The recently lengthened MSC Opera will be the first ship in any of the major fleets to be home-ported in Havana, Cuba when she arrives there in December.
The 65,591gt (up from 59,058gt) ship now accommodates about 400 more passengers following the insertion of a new mid-section of approximately 24m in length.
After her re-entry into service, she is spending the summer sailing from Venice, before undertaking a positioning voyage from Genoa to Havana on 2 December, and will commence her first cruise on 22 December. A total of 16 cruises is on offer before she makes the return voyage to Europe in April. WM
