Bermuda-registered Stolt Tankers has increased its deep-sea fleet to 84 ships following the long-term charter of the recently delivered 25,740dwt Bochem Houston from Belgian shipowner Compagnie Maritime Belge (CMB).
The 159m by 27m chemical tanker was completed by the CMJL shipyard in China for CMB’s Bochem subsidiary and is to be followed by five sister ships, all to enter service for Stolt under time charters later this year and in early 2024.
All of the ships have been configured for the possibility use of ammonia as a fuel in the future.
