ENGLISH CHANNEL: Norman Arrow will be back

Although LD Lines are on course to introduce new ferry Norman Leader late in April, the 112m catamaran Norman Arrow (pictured) is also returning for high speed Portsmouth-Le Havre summer services from 9 June to 5 September. Used between Dover and Boulogne in 2009, the 1,200-passenger/470-car Incat’s Portsmouth debut season finished early when she suffered hull damage after reportedly hitting a navigational marker near Le Havre late in August. Norman Arrow spent the winter at Brest. As yet, LD Lines have given no clue over future deployment of current Portsmouth-Le Havre vessel Cote d’Albatre, which returned to its original Newhaven-Dieppe route in January, while sistership Seven Sisters went to Gdansk, Poland.
