NEW CRUISE SHIP: The latest Celebrity

The Meyer Werft shipyard at Papenburg, Germany was able to slide the massive Celebrity Silhouette, the fourth of Celebrity Cruises’s Solstice class, out though building bay bays on 1 July for final outfitting before the 122,000gt vessel sailed for Civitavecchia via Hamburg to take up a series of 11-, 12- and 13-day Mediterranean cruises. Thereafter, the 315m by 36.8m ship will move to the east coast of the United States in October to operate a winter programme of 12-day Caribbean cruises from Bayonne, New Jersey before returning to the Mediterraneannext April.
