P&O: Second £150 million ship

P&O Ferries is due to take delivery of the Spirit of France at the STX shipyard in Rauma, Finland, on 24th January. The vessel will be the second of their super ferries for use on the Dover Calais route, joining the Spirit of Britain.

After the handover ceremony the ferry, which can hold up to 2,000 passengers, will make the 1,400 mile journey back to Dover before entering service on the Channel in February.

P&O Ferries says that the combined cost of the two sister ships represents the largest investment it has ever made.
