International Model Boat Show 2016

The countdown is on for the 2016 International Model Boat Show, which takes place this year from Friday 11 to Sunday 13 November at the Warwickshire Exhibition Centre. This year’s show is expected to see over 3,000 visitors, over 600 models on the club and society displays and stands from over 20 of the leading specialist suppliers.

Organisers are again seeking individual exhibitors who are not part of a club or society display but who have a marvellous model to show. Exhibition Manager, Avril Spence said “We are looking forward to welcoming our visitors to one of the UK’s leading marine modelling exhibitions the show this year.  Along with all the normal attractions and suppliers for visitors to enjoy and meet the opportunity to see the “Top 10” is one that should not be missed!”

There will once again be a large indoor boating pool for club members to demonstrate their models on, either individually or in groups with full commentary for spectators. The Surface Warship Association will again lead a poignant sailing tribute at the poolside during the two minutes’ silence on Remembrance Day. Younger visitors also have the opportunity to experience remote control boating with the ‘children’s sailing’ sessions.

As the only three-day marine modelling exhibition dedicated to all aspects of marine modelling this is an event not to be missed. Book your tickets to take advantage of the specially discounted rates which are only available until 31 October (see www.modelboatshow.co.uk).  Social media users can follow all the latest news and updates by following @MeridienneEx (#IMBS) on Twitter or via Meridienne Exhibition LTD on Facebook.
