Busy cruise season ahead for Poole

The Port of Poole is looking forward to a good cruise ship season with 14 calls by three small, luxury vessels scheduled so far between May and September.

North American operator Grand Circle Cruise Line is once again sending Corinthian (1990/4,077gt) and recent acquisition Clio (1998/3,504gt), pictured making its maiden call at the Dorset port on 22 July 2016.

A new visitor will be the 66m yacht-like Variety Voyager (2012/1,593gt), operated by Noble Caledonia and accommodating just 72 passengers in 36 cabins.

Work is progressing at Poole on the new South Quay development which, when operational at the beginning of 2018, will provide a 200m long working quay for larger cruise ships and cargo vessels.
