Norwegian Jade is making Hamburg its new home port for the 2017 summer season

For the first time in its corporate history, Norwegian Cruise Line is positioning a cruise ship in Hamburg scheduled for multiple voyages: Norwegian Jade.

Freshly spruced up and completely modernised, the cruise ship arrived on 4 June 2017 during her first arrival in Hamburg , with a lap of honour in front of the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg.

From her new home port, Norwegian Jade will traverse the Norwegian fjords, the North Cape, as well as Iceland and the UK.

With the arrival of Norwegian Jade (2,466 passengers) and Independence of the Sea (3,634 passengers) on 12 July, more and more large-scale cruise ships from US shipping companies are now using Hamburg, which claims to be the world’s no.1 destination for maritime entertainment and cruise events.

The city’s most spectacular cruise event will be kicked off at the end of the summer: taking place for the sixth time, the Hamburg Cruise Days from 8 to 10 September 2017 will transform the port into one big stage for the cruise industry.

A record number of ten cruise liners is scheduled to take part in the 2017 Hamburg Cruise Days, the biggest public cruise festival in Europe. More about the cruise destination Hamburg: www.hamburg-travel.com/cruises.
