May’s mystery ship

This month’s mystery ship is an old wartime Victory ship, which was pictured at Port Arthur, Texas in February 1993 together with another Victory ship, which is largely obscured. So can anyone name either of the ships? Can you provide further details of when and where either were built? Which company were they operated by? Where did they serve, and what were their fates? Did they have any sisterships? Was this photo taken just before one or both went for scrap?
