Stena RoRo delivers final E-Flexer to Brittany Ferries

Swedish shipping company Stena RoRo has delivered the twelfth E-Flexer vessel, Guillaume de Normandie, to French operator Brittany Ferries. This marks the completion of a five-ship order in Brittany Ferries’ fleet modernization initiative.

The 194.7m-long ro-pax ferry, built by CMI Jinling (Weihai), features a state-of-the-art multi-fuel engine and the world’s largest 12 MWh battery-hybrid system, enabling zero-emission port operations and reduced CO2 emissions.

Equipped with an 8 MW shore connection for high-speed battery charging, the vessel is certified for 1,300 passengers and 2,410 lane metres of cargo.

She is set to replace the 1992-built Normandie on the Portsmouth-Caen route in April 2025, and this milestone underscores Stena RoRo’s commitment to flexible and sustainable maritime solutions.
