CLdN invest in Liverpool port facilities

CLdN announced the start of a multimillion-pound investment in its Brocklebank terminal at the Port of Liverpool. The investments are part of CLdN’s plans to increase capacity on its Liverpool-Dublin route.

The infrastructure upgrades at the terminal will improve the use of space and enhance the flow of cargo movements while a new gate set-up, improved drivers’ facilities and new terminal operating system will increase efficiency and lead to an improved customer experience for dropping off and picking up cargo.

The enhancements to the quayside will also facilitate the use of the terminal by larger, more environmentally friendly ships.

Commenting on the investment Gary Walker, Chief Operating Officer of CLdN RoRo, said:

“These upgrades are part of the CLdN group strategy of investing in its UK port infrastructure and further reducing the carbon footprint of its operations. CLdN is a leading provider of freight services across the Irish Sea and this investment will further improve our service to customers.”

To facilitate the major infrastructure works, CLdN’s operations will be moved temporarily to Gladstone Docks Branch No.3 for the coming four months.
