CUNARD AND P&O: World cruises aplenty

Cunard Line and P&O Cruises have released details of their 2013 world cruises. On 10 January 2013 both Queen Victoria (2007/90,049gt) and Queen Mary 2 (2003/148,528gt) will set sail from Southampton at the start of their respective voyages.

Queen Victoria sails westbound on a 105-day itinerary, visiting 34 ports in 23 countries. Queen Mary 2, meanwhile, departs eastbound on her sixth World Cruise, lasting 106 days and calling at 34 ports in 18 countries. Although Queen Elizabeth is not actually on a World Cruise, she is making a 91-day voyage to the South Pacific and New Zealand via the Panama Canal.

P&O have four ships on global itineraries in 2013, with Azura (2010/116,000gt) making her inaugural World Cruise, departing Southampton on 7 January 2013 on a 110-night Grand Odyssey, visiting the Middle East, India, Australia and South Africa. Aurora (2000/76,152gt) sails from Southampton on the same day.
