Cunard announce new ship will be named Queen Anne

Cunard have announced that their new ship, under construction at the Fincantieri shipyard in Naples, Italy, will be named Queen Anne.

The first section of Queen Anne began construction at Fincantieri’s Castellammare di Stabia shipyard in autumn 2019.

This shipbuilding group delivered Queen Victoria to Cunard in 2007 and Queen Elizabeth in 2010.

Due to enter service in early 2024, she will be the company’s 249th ship and will make up a quartet of cruise ships, alongside Queen Mary 2, Queen Victoria, and Queen Elizabeth.

On board Queen Anne will be new experiences across dining, culture, and entertainment, according to Cunard publicity.

Queen Anne voyages will be available to book in May 2022.
