Delayed departure for Variety Voyager

Passengers spent an unexpected night on board the cruise ship Variety Voyager (2012/1,593gt) alongside Bulwark Quay at the Port of Poole on 14 August after the 68m mega yacht experienced a fault with its on board systems, delaying its departure to the Isles of Scilly by 24 hours.

The problem was rectified the following day, in the meantime passengers were taken by coach to visit Stonehenge.

The 72-passenger Variety Voyager is the flagship of Greek-owned Variety Cruises and this is the first year that the company, which specialises in small ship luxury cruising, has included British ports in its European itineraries.
