This year sees the 175th anniversary of the founding of Cunard Line. Many celebrations are planned, including a meeting of the three current Cunard ships in Southampton on 3 May and a historic first meeting for the three ships in Liverpool on 25 May. The first of the anniversary events took place on 5 February, when Queen Elizabeth berthed at Long Beach, California, home of Queen Mary, for the first time. After a firework display, Queen Elizabeth continued on her 112-night round-the-world cruise.
