Greatship Manisha on the Tyne for drydocking

The Multi-Purpose Supply and Support Vessel Greatship Manisha arrived at the Port of Tyne from Gursken, Norway  on 31 October 2016 destined for dry dock at A&P Hebburn, where she will have work undertaken.

Built in 2010  she is one of 2 M-class vessels of proven MT design have large deck area, 66-man accommodation and have worked in well stimulation and geotechnical operations, as well as supply duties.

The vessels are suitable for subsea conversion with the hull-mounted USBLs, large moonpool, and ability to take 100-T AHC crane and helideck.

The Greatship Group is a provider of drilling and marine support services to the offshore oil and gas industry across the globe, operating high specification jack-up rigs and Dynamically Positioned (DP) vessels.

The Greatship Group started life in 2006 with an initial purchase of two Norwegian-built mid-size platform supply vessels. Since then, the group has grown rapidly and currently owns a fleet of four jack-up rigs and more than 20 offshore boats, representing a combined investment of more than a billion dollars to date.

While it has grown in size, the group has also expanded its reach across the world. Over the years, Greatship has created a footprint in the western markets of Brazil, Mexico and North Sea, served clients on the African continent, and build strong positions in the eastern hemisphere with work carried out in the Middle East, India, East Asia and Australia. The company has offices in India and Singapore and employs multiple nationalities, be it on shore or offshore.

The Greatship Group traces its lineage to the Great Eastern Shipping Company, a veritable institution in the global shipping industry with a presence stretching back to 1948. As such the Greatship Group combines the vitality and ambition of its young organisation with the wisdom and fine maritime lineage derived from its parent.
