In January the cruise ship Island Princess embarked on a 116-night world cruise from Fort Lauderdale. This sold-out voyage, departing roundtrip from Port Everglades, will visit 43 ports around the globe as part of Princess Cruises’ 2025 World Cruise. After departing Florida, the first stop was at Cartagena de Indias, Colombia.
Island Princess will cross the Panama Canal locks, heading into the Pacific Ocean to visit destinations in Costa Rica, Guatemala, Mexico, California and Hawaii.
Before arriving in Australia, the ship will stop in Fiji and New Zealand, offering scenic cruising at Fiordland National Park. Following visits to Sydney, Melbourne, and Fremantle, the Island Princess will sail to the Indian Ocean, making stops in Mauritius and South Africa.
The ship is then scheduled to make an overnight visit to Cape Town before travelling to destinations in the Atlantic, including Namibia, Cape Verde, Madeira, and Gibraltar.
As part of its Mediterranean tour, Island Princess will visit ports in Italy, Greece, Turkey, Croatia, Malta, Montenegro, Spain, and France.
Before concluding its journey in Florida, the ship will also make stops in Morocco and the Canary Islands. During the world cruise, guests will spend 68 days at sea aboard the Island Princess.
Island Princess, built by Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard, originally entered service in 2003. In 2015, the ship underwent a significant refurbishment, adding 121 staterooms and creating new public areas and facilities.
