Jump on board for National Ferry Fortnight

The ninth annual National Ferry Fortnight runs from May 6 to 20 across the UK and well-known Scottish operator Cal Mac has plenty of tempting offers to help you get on board. Full details of all offers can be found on the company’s website at www.calmac.co.uk/nff.

Among the opportunities, though, is the chance to get away to one of Scotland’s west coast islands taking a friend with you free of charge. Organised by Discover Ferries, National Ferry Fortnight is themed Ferry Together for 2017 – encouraging family and friends to spend more time together.

On bookable routes across the network, reserve a return trip by car with a minimum one adult travelling and bring a friend free. With no baggage limits and a multitude of islands and mainland routes across 200 miles of wild and beautiful coast plus crossing times from just five minutes to over five hours, there really is something for everyone.

You will need to pre-register your travel details a minimum of 10 days prior to travel using the web form on the company’s National Ferry Fortnight area of the website at www.calmac.co.uk/nffand will then be contacted to confirm your booking.

All reservations on bookable routes must be via our Contact Centre on Freephone 0800 066 5000 and customers should quote ‘NFF2017’ at the time of booking .For turn up and go and inter island routes customers will need to use the registration form provided.

A total of 1000 promotional tickets across all routes included are available, with a maximum of 2 promotional offers per customer Bookings must start from a mainland or specified inter island destination. The aim is to encourage visitors to experience the islands and bring economic benefit to local economies.

The company has also teamed up with a number of businesses, organisations and clubs across its network area to offer some special deals as part of the fortnight. These already include the likes of Millport Golf Club, SYHA Hostelling Scotland, Perle Oban, Ardanaiseig Hotel, Colintraive Hotel, Basking Shark Scotland and St Hilda Sea Adventures, but it is worth keeping an eye on the website as others may be offered for booking during the NFF period.
