NEW CRUISE SHIP: Celebrity’s fifth Solstice

German shipbuilder Meyer Werft has begun cutting steel for the fifth of Celebrity Cruises’ Solstice class cruise ships, the 3,030-passenger Celebrity Reflection. The 126,000gt vessel will debut in November 2012, following the recently-delivered Celebrity Silhouette. However, Celebrity Reflection will be larger than her predecessors because of the addition of 72 cabins, including 34 AquaClass suites. Deliveries of the $3.7 billion Solstice class began in 2008 with the introduction of Celebrity Solstice, which was followed by Celebrity Equinox in 2009.
