PLATFORM SUPPLY: Blue Fighter delivered

Norway’s Ulstein Verft has delivered the 83.4m by 18m X-Bow platform supply vessel (PSV) Blue Fighter to associated Blue Ship Invest. Built to a PX121 design, she is being managed by Remøy Shipping in the North Sea spot market and will be followed by a sister towards the third quarter of this year.

Both vessels feature a cargo deck area of 875m2 and have a load capacity of 4,200dwt. They have also been fitted with four stainless steel tanks for flammable liquids in addition to tanks for oil, water and drilling fluids. Each vessel meets the requirements of DNV’s ‘Clean Design’ notation and both have been prepared for fire-fighting class Fi-Fi II. The twin ships have a top speed of 15 knots and can accommodate 24 persons each.
