SALVAGE: Salvage crews facing difficulties

New Zealand Maritime has reported that the salvage crews trying to remove containers from the grounded Rena cargo vessel are facing problems, although all the oil has now been pumped out of the ship. Plans to remove the 1,300 containers using workers suspended from a crane have been scrapped due to the dangers. The Rena has been stuck on a reef since last month and was in danger of breaking apart.
