OFFSHORE PLATFORM: Singapore’s FPSO contract

Singapore’s Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd has won a contract to make significant modifications to the FPSO Espadarte for long-time customer Single Buoy Moorings Inc (SBM). The work will be accomplished starting later this year by the company’s Keppel Shipyard subsidiary, which last converted the vessel in 2000. Once work is completed in the first quarter of 2012, the modernised vessel will be deployed by Brazil’s Petrobras in the Baleia Azul oilfield in the South Atlantic. The 1975-built vessel, originally Beaurivage, is 134,869gt and measures 344.53m by 51.85m.
