Scotline purchase cargo vessel Scot Leader

In early December 2016, Scotline announced the purchase of Scot Leader, IMO 9404235 (formally Odertal).  Scot Leader was built in August 2007 in Bodewes Shipyard Holland and is ice classed; she is 4,507DWAT and has cubics of about 6360m3.

She will sail under the British Flag like the rest of the Scotline fleet. The attached photos were taken in Hull, where she was handed over to Scotline and underwent a drydocking, including being painted in the Scotline house colours.

Scot Leader is the most recent acquisition to Scotline’s fleet of nine owned vessels. In these difficult times, Scotline are always looking for opportunities to enhance our fleet, to better serve our customers with the most reliable service.

Scotline runs a modern fleet of coasters serving Northern Europe with regular routes between Sweden, Ireland, Denmark, Germany, Norway, the Baltic States, the Netherlands, France and the UK. Our cargos vary from forest products and bulk cargoes to project cargoes and many others.

With terminals and an exclusively-operated fleet of modern ships we can offer our customers an all-in-one service of shipping, stockholding and distribution, tailored specifically to their needs. Scotline also fixes market cargos for our vessels through our network of contacts worldwide.
