Silver Endeavour is rare cruise visitor to Oban

Silversea Cruises cruise ship Silver Endeavour was anchored off Craobh Marina, south of Oban, so that her passengers could enjoy a morning visit to Arduaine Garden on 14 May 2023.

She was on a 13-day cruise which had started from Portsmouth and was due to end in Reykjavik, Iceland. This ship was built for Crystal Cruises prior to the company going into insolvency and was originally named Crystal Endeavour.

This is a rare visit of a cruise ship to the area, and she is possibly the largest ship to anchor off Craobh Marina. The smaller luxury cruise ship Hebridean Princess has visited before.

Silver Endeavour is the world’s largest ice class expedition yacht, bearing a Polar Class rating of PC6. The 20,449gt ships was sold to Silversea Cruises in 2022.
