Stena Vinga on the move again

Local media on the island of Bornholm has reported that Stena Vinga is to be chartered to Bornholmslinjen (owner Molslinjen) for a period of two weeks during April for the busy domestic freight service between Rønne and Køge, 50km south of Copenhagen.

Therefore Stena Vinga will a make temporary return to her original service to cover for her successor Hammershus during a scheduled refit.

Stena Vinga was built in 2005 as Hammerodde, and has been operated by Stena on the Frederikshavn to Gothenburg route.

During October 2020 she covered the Rosslare-Cherbourg route in place of Stena Horizon at a time when the impact of Brexit was seeing ferry companies operate direct services from Ireland to various European ports.
