TAAJ CROISIERES: French charter Costa ships

French operator Taaj Croisieres, which has chartered Costa Marina (1969/25,558gt) for the past year, will be using sistership Costa Allegra (1969/28,430gt) in 2012. The season begins on 26 March with a nine-day Adriatic cruise roundtrip from Marseilles, followed by three further Mediterranean sailings and then a ten-day repositioning to Calais.

Costa Allegra will turn around in the Channel port for four cruises, with a fifth ending in the Norwegian port of Tromso. Between 12 September and 7 November 2012 she will be back in the Mediterranean for six cruises from Marseilles. Costa Marina, meanwhile, is currently sailing for Taaj, also from Marseilles until the start of November.

Taaj Croisieres has been chartering ships for the French market since 1988 and is part of the Paris-based Taaj Group. Costa Marina and Costa Allegra are the two smallest and oldest ships in the Costa fleet and are likely to be sold in the not too distant future.
