THOMSON CRUISES: Thomson returns to UK

Thomson Cruises is returning to UK cruising in summer 2012. Thomson Spirit (1983/33,930gt) will be based in Newcastle from 10 May until 2 August, operating eight different cruises to the Baltic and in Harwich from 3 August to 26 September for seven cruises. For the first time, Thomson has scheduled a 12-day Round Britain Cruise, which departs from Harwich on 1 September 2012 and calls at Guernsey, Cork, Dublin, IOM, Mull, Orkney and Newcastle, before returning to Harwich on 12 September. On 26 September she repositionsto her Mediterranean homeport of Palma.

Thomson Dream (1986/53,872gt) will operate out of Palma in summer 2012 on four different itineraries, while Thomson Destiny (1982/37,773gt) moves to her new base in Corfu for seven- and 14-day sailings.
