Completed by Poland’s Remontowa Shipbuilding, the new 4,500dwt ship has been specifically designed to handle the installation and repair of medium and high voltage submarine cables, and carries two cable carousels low in the hull as well as a cable working deck outfitted with an ‘A’ frame and cranes.
The 95.3m by 21.5m newbuild has entered employment by installing the inner array grid and export cable systems for the Nordsee One wind farm off Germany after which it will move to the Veja Mate wind farm being built in the German Bight.
