Port news: Hartlepool welcomes bulkers

In the last few years the Tees port of Hartlepool has seen an increase in bulk cargo vessels using the port, as a contract was obtained for the import of sand used in certain paints and papers. Supplies are imported from Bunbury, Western Australia direct to Hartlepool, and a variety of chartered bulk tonnage has been the result. One vessel that arrived at the port from Bunbury was the 52,454dwt bulker Triple Ever (pictured), which was built in Japan in 2005. Operated by Astro Ship management of the Philippines, she departed for Aaheim in Norway after discharging her cargo of sand. RC
