Fred. Olsen’s new flagship Bolette

Fred. Olsen’s new flagship Bolette passed under the Forth Bridge on the evening of 23 July 2021 for sea trials before her planned maiden voyage, which departs on 16 August from Southampton.

She departed Rosyth through the basin gate at lunch time, then did a U-turn to anchor of Society to await for the evening low tide to sail under the three Forth bridges.

Built in 2000, 62,735 gt, as  Amsterdam for Holland America Line, she arrived in Rosyth on 16 August 2020 before being rebranded and named Bolette after the current head of the fleet’s great-great grandmother.

She is their fourth ship to carry the name.
