Cement carrier – New trade for veteran

On 20 October 2012 an unusual vessel called at the port of Montrose. It is many years since cement was brought to the port, but this should become a common occurrence now that the Dudman Group have taken silo space at the South Quay. The vessel in question, Cementina (1960), arrived in port with the first cargo but had to wait to discharge until 23 October to pump out the powder whilst equipment was checked. Dudman have cement terminals at Howdendyke, Lowestoft, Shoreham, Garston and now Montrose.
